Rolling Hills Ranch (RHR) is an owner-operated farm in central South Carolina, specializing in breeding and raising of high quality horses. Located in Swansea, SC,
we have clients all across the country from California, Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia, NC and more!
We are happy to assist in shipping logistics.
Most of our horses are Friesian crosses (registered with the Friesian Sport Horse Association) out of our imported Dutch stallion Wester van de Zonschate.
However, our blood lines include Daen 286, who was one of the first 10 approved Friesian (FHANA) stallions in North America in 1991!
Daen's Ebony, who we foaled and raised, produces spectacular foals, all of whom have sold as weanlings because of their extreme beauty!
We have proven huge success in crossing the Friesian with other breeds, such as Andalusian, Arabian, Thoroughbred, Rocky Mountain and Gypsy Vanner.
The results are athletic, energetic, intelligent, courageous and noble off spring.
Our horses have excelled in dressage, hunter-jumper, western pleasure, bow hunting, driving and trail riding.
Our facilities include 60+ acres of fenced pasture, 15 stalls and two "dry lots" for horses to prevent over eating during high grass season. Our main barn is insulated and situated in a
location that benefits from a nice cross breeze and shade from two large live oak trees. This barn features four large (14'x14') stalls to accommodate our Stallion and foaling mares.
RHR also produces commercial Angus / Beefmaster cows with two bull lines (Sonny Boy - Beefmaster and Tornado - Angus).
RHR manages 150 acres of hay fields, producing horse quality Coastal and Tifton 85 hay. While most of our hay is used to feed our stock, it is available for purchase in round and square bales.
Our latest endeavor is Boer goats, known for their lean, high protein chevon, but also their compatibility with horses and cows in grazing. We have two billies in our breeding line and offer kids for purchase,
as available.
